Resolve for a fast work flow

Trying to get a fast and efficient workflow. We use a one-stop solution, Davinci Resolve, which can upload the file and the thumbnail, add titling, sound and colour controls and create animations all from one program; it also easily syncs all the footage from different cameras.

VPS Avenger

I'm currently experimenting with my new app, VPS Avenger, for my DAW, which appears to be promising, given all the built-in features. Now, I'm in the process of learning what it can do and learning how to create original sounds.

Changing the camera Clock

Most of the clocks in the house are radio clocks and computers and phones handle the switch to daylight savings time automatically. A few cameras with GPS also change, but the Canon cameras have to be changed manually to /from daylight savings time apart from the EOS R5C, which needs central European time.

Integration by substitution

Integration by Substitution is a valuable technique for solving integrals that involve a variable raised to a power or a trigonometric function. By replacing the variable or function with a new variable or expression, the integral can be simplified into a form that is easier to integrate.

While substitution can be an effective method for solving difficult integrals, it may not always be the simplest or most straightforward approach. Other techniques, such as partial fractions, long division, and trigonometric identities, may be more appropriate for certain integrals.

In general, it is essential to have a variety of integration techniques at your disposal and to choose the method that best fits the specific integral you are trying to solve. Practice and experience can help you develop a better sense of which techniques to use in different situations.

Making Music

Films often require musical tracks from the classical sounds of musical instruments sampled to digital or analogue-created waveforms. The choice depends upon the film and the type of sound required. Getting this right is often one of the most important parts of filmmaking.

Monday is Editing Day

Monday means editing day! But first, we gotta create a timelapse for extracting DNA. Filtering takes a while, so we snapped hundreds of pics that we're stitching together for a video. More time, but it's worth it for the cool results 🧬🍓 #DNAtimelapse #ScienceMonday

Background Music

For YouTube video music, some prefer using a DAW to import loops and sounds to make tracks. However, I enjoy a more traditional approach. I prefer sitting down at the keyboard or organ to create or play a piece I know for the perfect background score.

Installing a Load Balancer

Finally, tackling router settings after putting it off for a while. Searching through various manuals for information has been tough, and some suppliers make it even more challenging. Lots of trial and experimentation are involved to ensure everything works smoothly!

An internet load balancer is a device or software that is designed to distribute incoming network traffic across multiple servers or network resources. The primary function of a load balancer is to optimise resource usage, maximize throughput, minimize response time, and prevent server overload. In my case I am doing this the other way round to ensure that I always have an internet connection.

The load balancer continuously monitors the health and performance of the servers, and if one server fails or becomes unavailable, the load balancer automatically redirects traffic to another available server. This process ensures that the workload is evenly distributed across all servers, eliminating bottlenecks and reducing the risk of system failure.

Load balancing is essential in high-traffic environments, such as web applications, e-commerce sites, and online gaming platforms, where resource demand can be unpredictable and fluctuate rapidly. The load balancer helps ensure that the system is always available and responsive to users, even during high traffic or server failure periods.
