Filming for Articulate.xyz

 A busy filming day for Articulate.xyz. Having put up the green screen, we then set up the overhead fill light.

so now we can do a few test shots to check on the levels and install the main lights and the parabolic reflector for more even lighting. Doing the recording in the Marquee means that we have anchor points for the lights using manfrotto super clamps.

Once the lighting is set up then the sound has to be set up and the cameras positioned. and we are ready to do all the filming.

Looks like mission Control - streaming setup

From a large 50 inch screen on the laptop, to a 32 inch screen with a 22 inch Cintiq tablet, two blackmagic cameras and an elmo visualizer monitored on a Shogun inferno. Two Blackmagic ATEMs and a Stream Deck out of shot. As some describe it looks like mission control or something out of star trek.

New 3D Printer to make more gadgets

It seems essential these days that every business seems to need a 3D printer - to make those little but expensive extra bits to hold some thing on or up. The ATEMs that we use have risers for the cables, the gimbal has an addon to hold some wires in place. Each piece needs to be designed - we use solid works - because my son uses it at his work. We recently bought an Ender 3 v2 to complement out DaVinci AIO. The Ender is really happy printing in PLA whereas the AIO is set up for ABS, so we can choose the best plastic for the job.

New U shaped Reflactor

New toy arrived today. A U shaped curved reflector for putting a bit of light under the face in portraits and knowing me for some scientific experiments. Now to work out the focal length ... #iteachphysics
